Who we are

Sagefields is a small farm in Talbot County, Maryland, owned and operated by Spencer and Erin Shimko along with their children Grayson and Audrey.

We are in the early stages of building an agricultural operation focused on sheep, chickens, and wool, with an emphasis on learning the land, establishing sound infrastructure, and developing good animal husbandry practices from the ground up.

Sagefields is a work in progress, always will be a work in progress, and that’s exactly how we intend it—built with care, attention, and a long view toward what it can become. Sagefields is hands-on and owner-managed. As we get our footing, our priority is doing things carefully. We believe starting deliberately is more important than growing quickly.
